Client Context: Our client is a public sector bank with over 10,000+ employees and a unique distinction of 97 years of successful Banking. The Bank has been conferred with the prestigious " Asian Banking Award "for its dedicated service.
The Requirement: The Bank has a spread of over 800 branches all over the country. In order to extend its reach and operability as well as to introduce new Banking services quickly, the bank decided to network its 800+ branches with a Wide Area Network.
The Bank wanted an architecture that could be built over phases to support its existing distributed Banking, besides catering to its needs for central banking application for the future. The immediate scalability would extend to 800+ branches. The Bank wanted a common backbone which would support integration of multiple network services (voice /data).
