Client Context : Our client is a International Telco with presence in over 15 countries and 40+ points of presence (POP). They had WAN Muxes including IGX, MGX with over 200 customers. The client provides multiple services including FR, ATM, IP VPN, IPLC's.

The Requirement : The client decide to strategically migrate the NOC operations off-shore. The primary reason for this was to reduce operations costs in the fiercely competitive telecom market. The requirements included re-look at the OSS architecture with a view to consolidate and ensure better insight to clients through the Customer Service portal

The Solution : Netsol assisted with the migration of complete NOC services of the client to Netsol's BS 7799 certified Global Management Center (GMC) at Bangalore , India . The approach was as follows:

  • Re-architected the OSS systems based on Cisco Works, HP OpenView
  • Infrastructure Intelligence layer added using Netsol IMS expertise and software products like SNAPPiMON
  • Access to multi-domain technology skills
