Network Solutions: Moving ahead in networking business

The company, Network Solutions started in 1993 in the IT city of Bangalore has won accolades for its business operations in the networking industry. It is working sincerely to maintain

its goodwill in the market. The company’s annual growth rate is exceeding 40 percent.

Speaking to itVARnews, CEO, Network Solutions, Sudhir Sharma said, “After quitting Motorola as the Head of IT department in 1993, I started my company network solutions on my own. However, after some time, my colleague at Motorola, Jayant Deshpande also joined me and soon we were successful in creating a remarkable position in the market.”

Now the company is engaged in providing structured cabling, networking solutions, software and storage. Network Solutions deals with major IT brands like Cisco, Avaya, AMP, HP, Nortel Networks, Krone and Netscreen to name a few.

During the initial tenure, Network Solutions started as a consulting service for IT infrastructure and networking. However, at present it provides the customers full network including the set up and then managing that infrastructure.

Elucidating more on this, Sharma commented, “Now we are offering our customers Design-Build-Manage i.e. we design network and IT infrastructure and then we help them in managing that infrastructure and network”.

The company has six branches that are located in four metros Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, along with Pune and Hyderabad. It is headquartered at Bangalore and has 1500 employees.

When asked whether the company faced any problems during its start, Sharma replied, “When we started network solutions in 1993, we faced competition from established companies like Wipro, Micronet etc. and besides this we even encountered the problem of shortage of funds. But we analyzed everything and then slowly picked up the race to become the best in the industry”.

Sharma further informed that the main things that are to be kept in mind to tackle competition are working with quality people and providing satisfaction to the customers. “Our clientage includes large banks like ICICI”, he added.

Speaking on its expansion plans, Sharma revealed, “Our company Network solutions is a part of IBM now and we will be focusing on this venture extensively. In addition, our priority will always be to give adequate service to our customers along with efficient business.”
